So, it was a week ago that Marilyn and I flew from Zurich to Nairobi. The eight hour flight took us over several interesting locations. Since it was a daytime trip, I was able to get some photos, some pretty good, others not so much.
| Leaving Switzerland. Taken just before we entered the clouds. |
| Somewhere along the coast of the Adriatic Sea, probably on the Italian side. |
| Islands along the Adriatic coast, probably on the Croatian side. |
| Somewhere over Greece |
| The island of Crete, I think. It's a little hard to tell from 37,000 feet. |
| The coast of Africa near the Egypt-Libya border. |
| Notice the line of small clouds parallel to the coast. I bet it is much cooler in their shadows! |
| An unknown river with dam and lake somewhere in Egypt, Libya, Sudan, Ethiopia? |
| I realize that this is hard to see through the clouds. This is the last landmark I could make out. It is the lake the extends from Ethiopia into Kenya for several hundred miles. |
If any Google Earth types want to identify the exact locations of any of these photos, let me know what you find.
