We're Here!!!

We made it to Zurich ahead of schedule.  So that means that although the local clocks said it was 8:00 am, we were feeling like it was 1:00 am.  And here is a hint for everyone thinking of traveling overnight to Europe:  Don't think you will spend those hours on the plane in blissful sleep.  I slept less than an hour and Marilyn didn't get any sleep.

Getting through customs was a breeze, getting our car was not.  It may have just been the customers at the counter when we arrived, but Hertz was extremely slow.  But the car is great.  Even has a GPS (that I need to learn how to use).

The drive from Zurich to Busingen was very nice.  We took some lesser roads, none equivalent to our interstates, more like state highways.  But as my family will affirm, that is my preference on vacations anyway.  45 minutes later, we pulled up at EuNC.

The people here at EuNC are very helpful and friendly.  And the apartment is plenty spacious.  We made a brief trek to a familiar place:  Aldi's.  Once inside, you would not know the difference from a store in Oklahoma, except that everyone is speaking German and all the packaging is in German!  And, like Aldi's back home, while the prices are low, they lack many items that we want.  So after a quick nap, we headed to another store a little farther away.

Well, it is almost 10 pm so we have been up for more than 30 of the last 36 hours.  I think we will sleep well tonight!!

P.S. I will try to get the first pictures on the blog tomorrow.  Marilyn took a lot today as we were traveling so there should be some to show.
